Our honest take on North Island, Vancouver Island

The North Island feels like a completely different side of Vancouver Island, in the best way! It is more natural, and less travelled. This is where you go for rugged scenery, wildlife and a slower pace. It is ideal if you want beautiful drives, coastal towns and a trip that feels more remote and memorable than a typical weekend away.

Best time to visit North Island, Vancouver Island
May to September is usually the sweet spot for warmer weather, wildlife viewing, road trips and coastal exploring. October to April is quieter and moodier with storm watching, fewer crowds and a more rugged West Coast feel.
