Vancouver Island feels completely different from the rest of Canada. It is slower, calmer and much more connected to nature. One moment you\u2019re walking along rugged coastlines and rainforest trails, the next you\u2019re sitting in a small oceanside caf\u00e9 watching fishing boats drift through the harbour.<\/p>

What surprised us most was how diverse the island feels depending on where you go. Victoria has a more polished and historic atmosphere, while places further north feel wild, remote and deeply connected to the outdoors. Every drive somehow turns into a scenic route.<\/p>

For couples especially, Vancouver Island strikes a rare balance between adventure and relaxation.
